A: The default username for Admintool is admin with an individual factory password, which is displayed on a sticker that comes with the camera. If you do a factory reset for the camera, the factory password will become valid again.
Q: How do I reset the password?
A: Follow these steps:
In the root of a formatted SD card larger than 1 GB, create a password-reset text file with the .txt extension.
Write the camera’s MAC address in the created file (you can find it by using the Admintool utility or in the Management local interface — camera model name — Utilities).
Insert an SD card in the camera’s slot and reboot the camera by turning off the power.
If everything is done correctly, the text file will be deleted from the SD card and all user passwords will be reset. Names, settings and permissions will be saved.
Q: Factory reset:
Option 1.
Run the Line client side.
Go to Server Connections and select the Admintool tab
Select a camera from the list:
left click on the line you need, then select Support — Factory Reset in the upper panel.
or
Right click and select Support — Factory Reset in the context menu.

After you have correctly signed in and clicked OK, the camera will switch to factory reset mode. Corresponding notifications will be displayed in the Status and Progress columns. After a successful reset, the camera will reboot the server service, change to Online status and will correspond to the factory settings.
Option 2.
Run the Line client side.
Connect to the camera.
In the Management menu, click on the name of the camera model – Utilities tab – find Factory Reset and click Reset.
Q: How do I set the time and date?
A: The time and date can be set in the Configuration menu or with help of the Admintool utility, either embedded in the Line 8 software or a standalone one. It is possible to send requests via an external CURL application. Once turned on or once a network connection is established, the camera shall perform a mandatory synchronization either with the servers at pool.ntp.org or with the servers specified in the settings. In case NTP servers cannot be accessed, the time and date values may be inaccurate.
Set time and date in “Management”.
To configure online, open port 9796. Management – model name – Utilities – find Time Zone and Date/Time. Set the time zone and sync the time and date with the computer or do it manually.
